Four-Year-Olds
We strive for each child to have a successful school experience so that they are prepared and eager for the next school year.
We recognize that kindergarten readiness is much more than learning basic academic skills and includes life readiness skills and social skills that are further developed in creative play.
Playtime
During Playtime children will…
Grow socially and emotionally as they learn to work and play cooperatively and individually. Grow physically as they use their gross and fine motor skills during indoor and outdoor playtime.
Playtime also gives children an opportunity to develop self-control as they learn to win and lose graciously and solve conflicts
Bible
During Bible time children will…
Grow spiritually as they learn more about His love for them through Bible stories, scripture memory, and prayers. One of the highlights of the year for our 4-year-old class is to present the Nativity play during our Christmas program.
Crafts
During craft time children will…
Grow intellectually and emotionally through crafts and activities that reinforce foundational language arts and math skills, incorporate pattern, shape, and color recognition, and strengthen fine motor skills through the use of various art mediums.
Language Arts
During Language time children will…
Grow intellectually and socially through language arts that emphasize early reading readiness skills such as phonics, letter and number formation, critical thinking skills, comprehension, rhyming, storytime and poetry. Early social studies are also incorporated as we discuss our country and its history.
Music
During Music time children will…
Grow emotionally, socially, and spiritually through various music mediums that incorporate music and movement. Hiding God's word in their hearts through music and scripture memorization is the cornerstone of our program.
Special Events
During Special Events children will…
Children will experience the joy of celebrating holidays and birthdays. Special events also include learning more about our country and community through visits from various local community helpers.
